I'm so sorry, Tracy.

Tracy, I'll be thinking of you. I know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet.

Jamie

Oh, Tracy, I'm so sorry! At least, as you say, he was having a good day with lots of love and they were doing all they could for him.

I know you will miss him terribly.

I'm so sorry, Tracy. I know the hard way how hard it is to lose a beloved pet.

Ali

Dear Tracy,

You have my sympathies and best wishes. I too, have lost a beloved dog, Saint Portia, who is buried in a special garden bed and who is with me every day I am out in the garden. Dexter will be with you every day too, in your heart, where every good dog lives forever.

Be good to yourself,
Ali

Kathy

I'm sorry to hear you've lost Dexter. It must be hard. I've enjoyed seeing his pictures.

Tracy

Thanks to all for your kind comments. It's been more difficult that I had imagined - mainly because we just weren't expecting it - but Spouse and I are doing better. Thanks to all.

El

I am so sorry to hear about your poor pup. But the UofM is the best, so he was in the best hands.

Our boy Alex (a fabulous shepherd/golden mix) died very suddenly a year ago yesterday. He is so missed and it was so quick that I was just in a daze for months. He had hemangiosarcoma, which is a cancer that affects the heart and spleen. It's known as the silent killer, as it has few if any symptoms...Al had shown a slight murmur at his last checkup.

You will be so lonely for a long time, but it's only because he was so well loved. He was a lucky boy.

Kim

Aww... I'm so sorry for your loss. Glad to hear that Dexter had such a very good last day, though. You're right to take some comfort in that.

Tracy

El: I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. It's the suddenness that gets you, isn't it. We were just completely shocked and stunned when we got back and found out he was gone. In your case it must have been even worse because you had no idea he was sick.

Kim: Thanks so much. He did have a good last day. In fact, except for the last week or so, he had a good life, and we're very thankful for that.

I have big tears that no words can express - only tears, and mascarra smeared on kleenex.
I loved the old boy also, and Fritzi, and I will miss him.
